Birthday Cakes for 5 Year Olds – A 5 year old’s fifth birthday is a very important milestone and should be celebrated with a grand cake. It is not uncommon for parents to spend an entire month planning and decorating the perfect cake, inviting friends and family to join in on the fun.
As far as baking goes, most five-year olds aren’t quite ready to handle such a large task on their own just yet, but there are plenty of store-bought cakes that would work out just fine.
Just keep in mind what kind of cake your child might want to eat. If they have always loved chocolate ice cream, perhaps a chocolatey cake would satisfy their sweet tooth! Or if it has been all unicorns and rainbows since they were three years old, you might want to consider a rainbow or unicorn cake.
It all depends on what flavor your child prefers, so do some research before heading to the store.
Important reminders when purchasing a store bought cake:
– Always remember to ask for assistance when checking out at the cash register! Sometimes cakes are placed in different places in the store – be sure to double check that you have everything you need before leaving!
– If possible, bring an old cake carrier from home that will fit this specific purchase because often times store bought cakes are left uncovered and are more likely to get squished in transit. As an alternative, individual serving sizes would work just as well if it is difficult to find one large enough for the entire cake.
